About Philippe Voarino Shihan
Philippe Voarino received his first and second dan from Master Nobuyoshi Tamura, and his third, fourth, fifth and sixth dan from Master Morihiro Saito, with whom he was for many years uchi deshi in Iwama at the dojo of O Sensei Morihei Ueshiba.
Master Saito also awarded him the five traditional Aiki-ken and Aiki-jo Mokuroku, certificates that attest to his knowledge of these weapons within the framework of Aikido and authorize him to teach them.
He is one of the founding members of the association Takemusu Aiki Intercontinental, which since 1992 has been working internationally to preserve the original teaching of the Founder of Aikido and to promote an authentic, independent European Aikido.
In 2008, he also became one of the founding members of ITAF – International Takemusu Aikido Federation.
